The documented procedure for eddy current inspection of M18 wing attachment fittings did not assure repeatable, reliable inspections.
As a result of the actions taken by CASA in response to AO-2013-187-SI-03, the eddy current inspection procedure is explicitly prohibited from use. This action has minimised the safety risk associated with this safety issue.
