The operator's procedure for confirming the validity of the flight management system generated take-off weight did not place sufficient emphasis on the check against the load sheet.
The operator have changed the procedure to check that the computed TOW corresponds to the TOW on the load sheet
As a result of this occurrence, the Flight Management System (FMS) Weight Data Entry and Verification procedures were amended to confirm that that the FMS computed take-off weight corresponded to that contained in the load sheet.
