The company response was to include the recommended monitoring of landing gear selection.
In November 2010, Qantas Airlines introduced soft and hard triggers to its Flight Operational Quality Assurance system to monitor the selection of the aircraft's landing gear during an approach.
The ATSB is satisfied that the action taken by Qantas adequately addresses this safety issue.
