Safety Issue
The passenger survey indicated that the majority of passengers
(who responded to the survey) did not know where the emergency
exits or door keys were located. A slight majority of these
respondents (57 per cent) did not remember receiving (or could not
remember the contents of) the safety information that was given at
the start of the journey.
Safety Recommendation
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau recommends that Great
Southern Railway takes action to address this safety issue.
