The ATSB recommends that the Freight Australia Emergency
Management Plan or the current equivalent (if updated or replaced
by Pacific National), ensures that in the event of an incident or
suspected incident on the broad gauge track that immediate contact
is made with the ARTC train controller. This recommendation applies
to rail corridors in Victoria where Pacific National leased tracks
and ARTC leased tracks parallel each other.
