The ATSB recommends that the Department of Infrastructure review
all accredited organisation's SMS provisions for the maintenance
standards of wheel bearings. Particularly to the maximum bore size
of bearings, the minimum journal diameter, storage life and
procedures for extending effective service life of the bearing.
