Safety Recommendation

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau recommends that Bell
Helicopters consider incorporating a change to the Bell 206B Flight
Manual to alert owners of helicopters of this type to the
possibility of uncovering the fuel pump inlets during out-of-trim
flight at a low fuel level.

The following response to the recommendation was received from
Bell Helicopters on 30 Sep 2004:



Bell Helicopter believes that maintaining trimmed flight is a
requirement of basic airmanship in any helicopter and not
appropriate for inclusion in specific model helicopter flight
manual.
