During taxi, the flight crew of an Airbus A330 was alerted to a low-pressure warning from one of the aircraft's hydraulic systems.
A post-flight maintenance inspection of the aircraft identified that a braided hose from an actuator to the right main landing gear door had developed a substantial leak.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requested assistance from the ATSB to complete a technical examination of the braided hose.
To facilitate this work, the ATSB has initiated an external investigation under the provisions of the Transport Safety Investigation Act 2003.
