Preliminary investigation was undertaken into a category 4
occurrence where fumes were detected in an Airbus A330-300 fare
paying passenger flight and the crew diverted to Adelaide.
Subsequent inspection by maintenance personnel showed no evidence
of fire or burning and there have been no reports during subsequent
flights.
Status: Downgraded the occurrence to category 5
and investigation discontinued.
