Col Winton, Sportsman, 10-1371, 5km SW Coomera, Qld

Police reported that a witness saw a low flying light aircraft
collide with trees in the area of Wongawallan Ridge, in the
Goldcoast hinterland. A rescue helicopter located the wreckage a
short time later. A crewman was lowered to the site and was able to
confirm that the pilot, who was the sole occupant, did not survive
the impact.
